Greetings Brothers and Sisters of the PFFW,
It's that time of year again when we gather with family and friends to enjoy the Holiday Season and, reflect on the past year. Many changes have occurred within locals, due to budget restraints from cities and town halls. Things are tense and unclear at this time, but stay focused, be patient and continue to support the elected officers within your bargaining units. Although the RPFFW has not been attacked, we closely monitor what is happening in Madison thru various groups that we share information with. Our commitment and loyalty to support the PFFW actives will NEVER fade. The RPFFW was proud to March in Madison. We would like to thank a few individuals for their efforts: Madison Local 311 Officers Joe Conway, Jr., Kevin Sherry, Clay Christenson, along with Local 311 members and MFD administrative staff, PFFW President Mitchell, PFFW Executive Board members and hundreds of PFFW members from across Wisconsin and their families who spent hours showing what a Professional Firefighter and true unionist stands for...fairness and truth. On another note, now that most hunters have put away their weapons and are getting over their failure to bag the big one, it is time to pull the shovels out from the garage and fire up the snow-blowers and plows. RPFFW encourages locals to pay for their retirees first years RPFFW dues (SAO1. After that we will encourage them to rejoin. We also encourage retired administrative staff members to join.
